What: Project Truth Youth Group is designed to help teens know what they believe and why they believe it. It is called “Project Truth Youth” (PTY) because the goal of the youth group is to have the youth come to the truth as it is in Jesus Christ. Jesus says in John 14:6, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” And so we want to point the youth to Jesus Christ because he is the truth. At PTY we help the youth learn the truth, grow in relationships, and reach out to others with the truth of Jesus Christ.
Why: Recent polls have shown that when teens go to college 80 percent of them abandon their faith. PTY is designed to prevent this by teaching the youth why they believe what they believe. Pastor Nate provides proofs and evidences for the Christian faith so that when they go to college they will stand firm in their faith. We want all teens in PTY to spread the truth in college rather than abandon the truth in college.
When (time/place/ages): Project Truth Youth Group meets every week at Corner Canyon Church from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, and serves ages 11 to 18.
The first hour involves teaching and fellowship. In the last thirty minutes the youth play games. We welcome youth from all different religious backgrounds (or non-religious) and denominations to the youth group.
